Description

We created the first real time donation drive by collecting data with our onground social workers and sent what was needed by the refugees in real time to a dedicated server which then updated over 160 digital billboards reaching hundreds of thousands of people across Germany.

Our billboards then took people to our website where they could find out more about the campaign and find drop off locations or simply donate money or their time.

Execution

Real time donations where broadcast over 160 live digital billboards in places with high footfall train stations, bus stations helping us reach hundreds of thousands of German people each day. The campaign ran for a month and peaked over Easter when people are in the spirits to give and help others.

Outcome

Through our real time donations we engaged thousands of people per day. Brand awareness went up by 78% and we received an increase of 65% of needed donations.

We helped the German people donate smartly and more effectively.

The real time donations helped thousands of refugees with things they actually needed.

Local and international press helped spread our message which helped Real Time Donations see its best results over Easter compared to last year.
