Background

Another big challenge is to establish a direct conversation with the government authorities and relevant government departments

Execution

On Holi, we created a post announcing the launch of the livery of GE’s locomotive for Indian Railways. The post was retweeted by the Ministry of Railways, Mr. Suresh Prabhu which led to the post becoming viral and reaching out to over 1000+ users. We utilized the topical hashtag of Happy Holi and engaged with the audience using the colorful livery as an added communication peg.

With locomotive the priority of the year, we further created a video that highlighted the CSR activity in the village of Marhaura where GE manufacturing units are present. The post was again liked by Mr. Suresh Prabhu real-time and engaged by many users.

Additionally, when the founder of YourStory, Ms. Shardha Sharma posted about the upcoming 1000 diesel locomotives by GE tagging GE Transportation and the Railway Minister, we as GE India, took the opportunity to engage in real-time response management to take advantage of the
