With vast distances between South Australian towns, driver fatigue plays a significant role in many SA road fatalities. Research shows a clear link between regular rest stops and more attentive driving with a 15 minute break recommended every two hours. Launching two weeks before the busy Easter holiday period, the 'Refresh Your Drive' radio jingle draws on the ‘tried and true’ classic soft drink ads of the 70’s and 80’s, conveying the sense of refreshment that comes with a routine break at your nearest highway rest stop.
