Description
Every lunar New Year, the agency takes the opportunity to create a festive greeting masterpiece that is unexpected and unconventional. The challenge this year was to meet, if not exceed its benchmark in creative excellence. The idea and design needed to be relevant and unique to the Year of the Horse and at the same time cost-efficient. Apart from being a form of customary new year greeting, the design piece was to serve as a catalyst to garner the interest of potential clients for new business.
Execution
Since creativity is the product of an agency, we utilised our strength in this area to demonstrate unconventional solutions for conventional festive greeting that was typically done through an ad or greeting card. By doing that, we were able to inspire our business partners to think of communication ‘solution’ differently by showing unconventional solutions that’s able to meet both the business objectives and the financial objectives through the use of right resources. Simply because “we believe there isn’t a problem that cannot be solved. Instead we should always dream of coming up with unconventional solutions for conventional problems”.
Outcome
A total of 30 packs were sent to both existing and potential clients of the Agency. All the clients who received the pack either called or wrote back to compliment the Agency for the unusual idea and design. Of the 30 packs, 25 were sent to existing clients while 5 were sent as new business packs. Subsequently, the Agency managed to secure one new business.
