We wanted to have an idea to show the passion of the fans for their team.

If we prove nothing is bigger than this, we would show that our channel has the strongest product of all: the love for sports.

So we thought "Let's lock some fans watching the final of their team and tell them that if they keep quiet, they will earn 100,000 reais ($50,000)".

With the idea in hand, and with an upcoming Brazilian Soccer Championship final, we saw the opportunity to do this.

So, we searched on social media for real fans of Flamengo, the team with the biggest number of fans in the world. After a lot of searching, we found 5 fanatical supporters.

We called these 5 fans who were appointed by the official team pages to watch the game in a room.

Not knowing if we would succeed or not, we risked investing in a big budget production in the idea, and in the end everything worked out as we had hoped. They shouted. They did not even care about the money .

Everything was based on the PR strategy.

The idea being the way that we found these fans, would be the way that we run this idea around the world.

This experiment connected the channel with our audience, giving them the feeling that we are closer. That we understand their passion for their team and that there is no better place to relate and see their team than on FOX SPORTS.

Execution

Fox Sports is a TV channel that lives of the passion of the fans.

Can prove that nothing is bigger than a love's fan is the same to prove that we have the most powerful product in our hands. When we offer money and the fan says: - "No, I prefer shout when my team win the Championship that win all the money in the world." its a signal that we did it well.

Outcome

AFTER ONE WEEK, WE UPLOADED THE VIDEO ON YOUTUBE AND THE EVENT BECAME ONE OF THE MOST COMMENTED ON THE INTERNET. THE VIDEO WAS WATCHED A MILLION TIMES IN ONE DAY AND 8,000,000 IN TOTAL. Journalists shared the video and raised on the topic discussion: what would you do? The topic crossed the continent and we did the same experience with Seattle Seahawks fans, the loudest fans in the world according to Guinness Book, on NFC Championship Game. And they couldn't watch the match in silence either.
