We follow three stories of ordinary South Africans who are saving for different goals. These stories are intertwined throughout the video.

Fred of the Stairs, a talented tap dancer dreams to one day dance on grand steps. He dances on any stairs he can find to collect small change. Fred also applies his coins to create bespoke tap shoes and add flair to his look.

Lilly the artist is a part-time waitress and full-time dreamer. She’s saving for art school. In the meantime, she serves her whimsical patrons and literally draws inspiration from her everyday surroundings.

Mike and Simone are in a rut. They’ve left their youthful dream of adventure travel behind in the pursuit of career success. They sell everything to travel the world and rekindle their love.

As the stories progress, the characters’ jars fill up with coins. In the end, everyone’s saved enough to fulfill their dreams.
