Description

In 2015 Austria is getting swamped by the oddest trend of the past years: Selfie sticks.

Why didn´t this people realise how ridiculous these sticks were in the first place?

So "Lagerhaus" - Austria´s country side warehouse decided to make a stance. As a specialist for solid, down-to-earth products, it launched a very special monopod for their customers.

Execution

So "Lagerhaus" decided to make a stance. As a specialist for solid, down-to-earth products, it launched a very special monopod for their customers: "The Selfie Stick Country".

Outcome

The Selfie Stick Country was sold out within hours with more than 15.OOO being sold.

The austrians really loved our silly invention, and they took the chance to comment on and discuss this modern plague by posting selfies made with our ridicolus monopods. This way, news of the Selfie Stick Country spread quickly on social media.

Furthermore the action had a very positive effect on public awareness of the Lagerhaus brand. After all, there are not so many companies that offer solid, down-to-earth products with a good sense of humour. Austria had a good laugh.
