• Situation
Google and Samsung partnered up to develop and launch the new Galaxy Z Flip 5, a phone that combines Samsung's sleek flip phone design with Google's voice assistant to give Gen-Z a perfect solution for something they love: taking selfies.
• Brief
Communicate the launch of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and introduce it as a way for Gen-Zers to take hands-free selfies.
• Objectives
Spread the word about the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and show how Google and Samsung are stepping up with tech that tackles problems nobody's even thought about yet.
Execution
From the very first moment, it was clear that realizing such an ambitious script would be a huge challenge. Considerations regarding the right choice of visual technique and production solutions had to be weighed against the power of the story and the role of the product. By choosing emphisize the realism of the statues, we discovered that the only possible solution was to have a mix of different techniques, so we set out to find out the artisans and experts to transform real people into real statues. Or virtual statues, when needed. The mix of craftsmanship and technology never stands in the way or steals the show from the perfocmances and the human truth behind the story we;re telling. Turns out that using technology to solve a very human problem is powerful both when inventing a product like theGalaxy Z Flip 5, and when telling the world about it.
