Description
Millions of dollars and years of debt are unnecessarily added on to New Zealand mortgages because we don’t think about them in the right way.
With BNZ’s mission being to help people ‘be good with money’ we had to do something.
So rather than follow category conventions and talk interest rate, we collaborated with the Reserve Bank to access millions of dollars in real, shredded cash and put it in front of people to highlight the wastage caused by interest repayments. It triggered BNZ’s biggest year of lending.
