Execution

Your skin can have a huge impact on your self-esteem, so Spectro asked teens to Instagram something that makes them smile. These photos were used to create an installation in downtown Toronto. The Instagram feed was streamed through a series of retro TV’s, creating an ever-evolving gallery of inspiring images. The Smile Shop provided a feel good space that reminded teens to celebrate individuality and happiness.

Outcome

The Smile Shop got people talking, and smiling. Over the course of three days over 57, 000 people were talking about it online. The shop itself drew over 2,500 visitors, and over 1,900 samples were distributed.
