Description
Sperm Chaser is a game designed to increase awareness of contraceptive methods and reduce unintended pregnancy. This game not only entertains, but empowers young women by educating them on the full range of contraceptive options. It increased awareness and understanding and encouraged women to talk to their gynaecologists by providing education that allowed for more informed office visits.
Execution
The Sperm Chaser app was built within 10 weeks for Android and iOS smartphones. The game is made up of 8 levels, each focusing on raising awareness of a different contraceptive option in an engaging way. Players collect different forms of contraception to make their egg invulnerable to the undesirable sperm. They face obstacles that represent real world challenges with different methods of contraception and learn along the way what method might be right for them. There were also built in rewards for watching short videos and sharing the game on social media. It was promoted by the Jenapharm sales reps and through Google AdWords.
