Description
With the 2007 Rugby World Cup looming, we were briefed by Sasol to leverage their sponsorship of the Springboks by creating a commercial that would rally the South African nation behind their team and boost the pride and confidence of the players themselves.
Our secondary objective was to grow the South African rugby watching audience into the youth market.
The resulting commercial was designed to feel like an epic movie trailer, where the Springboks are the heroic stars – an elite team of superhuman men, capable of facing down any challenge.The team went on to win the cup.
