Description

Target's idea was to remaster "Genius of Love" so it had a more modern feeling. We worked with them to find artists and producers that might be able to give "Genius of Love" a relevant, contemporary pop, without losing the fun/free 80's feeling.

Execution

We spend about three months planning and looking for brought the two artists together and had them feel out the track. We asked them to maintain some of the classic feeling while adding their own contemporary flair. They recorded it together at a studio in LA. The spot will be live online/all media for at least a year!

Outcome

The spot's reach/impact has been huge! Only one day after the spot went live, music blogs (like Stereogum) had already picked up the track we produced and were broadcasting our remix all over the internet! Comments on youtube and facebook shared lots of praise for the track. We were thrilled!
