The fast food franchise is dedicated to giving South Africans the best flame grilled chicken and the Summer Meal consisted of just that; eating anything else could just as well be a crime. It is from this notion that African food cops Steve Peri and JJ Hotstix were born. Going around to specifically targeted areas in their 2Lt Ford Cortina Mk II Automatic, the two professional actors issued Warrants of Abreast (1/4 chicken voucher) to consumers committing the cardinal crime of occupying themselves with anything but eating Nando's.
Outcome
The promotion was a great success. Sales figures were not available at the time of submitting this entry but all the campaign elements equated to an estimated reach of 264,663 OTS for a regional campaign focusing on a small city like Cape Town this.The real success was in the quality of the interaction we had with consumers, which ensured we were creating brand loyal customers for life.
