Description
DAS TAXI has established itself amongst Hamburg´s taxi cab operators as the “Autonomous Way Ahead”. The core product statement, “Individual Public Transport – anywhere, any time” should be communicated towards local public transport passengers, as well as existing and potential key customers, i.e. publishing houses, advertising agencies, hotels, restaurants and hospitals.
Execution
DAS TAXI attracts attention with its own interpretation of public transport insignia:To highlight the launch of a special billboard on subway and railway stations, the DAS TAXI HAMBURG timetable 06/07 was distributed to waiting passengers. Times, accurate to the minute, services and booking options are shown for each and every street in postcode region 20.
The special route map hangs next to the official plan of the Hamburg passenger transport authority. Every street in Hamburg can be found on the billboard.On the Website and banners DAS TAXI provided a journey planer, with all possible travel starts and ends, that means all 9,000 streets of Hamburg.
Outcome
DAS TAXI received more phone calls than usually. Most of Hamburg´s local newspapers reported about the new time-table and the confused passenges. After a few weeks, Hamburg´s passengers transport authority banned the campaign from its underground stations.
