Deutsche Telekom surprised the TV viewers by manipulating a well-known and actually “inviolable” element of television: the time clock before the TV evening news. It was first slowed down only to be then accelerated to high speed. The message: “Everything else will seem slower to you. The high-speed broadband network is coming!”
Outcome
During the time of this preannouncement, Deutsche Telekom received thousands of inquiries from private persons and companies on the VDSL product.
