Background
In the everlasting battle for attention between Netflix, YouTube Kids,... it’s crucial for a local children’s television network to have an edge. Everything Ketnet does is built around the simple idea that imagination is crucial for the development of kids. But sometimes it’s hard for parents to disconnect with the daily routine and tap into their own imagination. So we invented a new and entertaining way to stimulate their imagination and get into their kids' fantasy world.
Idea
Children have a vivid imagination. Parents sometimes lost theirs along the way. So we developed interactive audio stories that helped parents to reconnect with their imagination while playing with their kids. Because stimulating the use of imagination is an extremely important part of a kid's development. And we believe the world would be an even better place if we all had a little more imagination.
Strategy
The ‘Fantasy plays’ were published on the popular and completely free ‘Ketnet App’ and on all major sound platforms (Spotify,Soundcloud,...) The plays were communicated with supporting national above and below the line media campaigns targeted at parents.
