Background

We needed to position Coca-Cola as an uplifting beverage for those moments when the afternoon slump starts to kick in. Our objective was to develop a campaign where Coca-Cola and Marvel heroes could save the day by delivering uplift to a young adult in need.

Execution

The director of this campaign not only shouldered the weighty responsibility of handling the iconic Marvel characters and their distinct styles while honoring their intellectual properties, but also excelled in envisioning a grand concept for Coca-Cola. He masterfully crafted a narrative with action-packed sequences, seamlessly blending CGI moments with genuine human emotion. Despite the abundance of CGI, his direction ensured that every frame felt authentically human, resonating with audiences on a profound level. This fusion of technological wonder and heartfelt storytelling elevated the campaign to new heights, captivating viewers and reinforcing Coca-Cola's message as a source of upliftment. Throughout the entire process, he remained present, collaborating closely with the post-production house and the musician who scored the ad, ensuring a cohesive and impactful final product.

Outcome

The campaign was well received across social media. Marvel fans, in particular, embraced it, leaving numerous positive comments expressing their astonishment at the ad's story, production value, craftsmanship, and choice of heroes. Some fans even created reaction videos where they shared their surprise and enjoyment of the ad. Overall the sentiment was very positive in the early stages of the campaign.
