Description

The SNICKERS HUNGRY-ME GENERATOR is an app for iPhone and Android smartphones, being launched in eleven European countries. There are no clear legal restrictions for mobile apps in any of the countries.

Execution

We motivate consumers to download the app and become part of the famous campaign “You’re not you when you’re hungry” by asking a simple but involving question: “Who are you, when you’re hungry?”

The journey starts at the point of sale and works via QR code /short code, with a direct download option. Furthermore each of the eleven countries can support the app locally with additional media like TV, print, digital and ambient.

Outcome

After launching the app in the Netherlands it was downloaded over 2000 times within the first 5 days. Over 65% of those users were active on facebook with the app. The majority of 25.000 facebook contacts were a result of the Netherlands launch.
