The film sees a humble insect upgrade himself with a pair of new wings and a long mosquito nose. Although happy at first, the insect's newfound freedom is fleeting once he interacts with a human being. « Just because you can doesn’t mean you should » is the message.

For this film we had to turn to a various range of expertise such as graphists, drawers, animators, compositors…

The animation of the main character is a mix between traditional digital 2D animation and sometimes in « puppet flash » animation. The special effects, the decors and the camera moves are fully animated in 2D.

During the compositing step, the graphist team found a technique so that the volume done by the illustrator brush could exist and happen in this animated world.

The main animation challenge was to give life to our hero and its environment, and also that the animated drawings technique would apply to traditional 2D animation.
