Description

Bees make honey and honey makes Honey Nut Cheerios, so we used both to help make a Honey Nut Cheerios billboard come to life. With the help of a beekeeper and 500,000 of his hardest working bees, we showed people how our most important ingredient is made, by making it live. And we showed people how it tastes, by using the honey from the billboard to create the first boxes of Honey Nut Cheerios made with local honey.

Execution

Timeline was 5 months from concept to completion of build. Placed in St. Cloud, Florida. Was live for 2 weeks, and was filled with honey during unveiling on 11/14.

Outcome

The billboard captured the attention of more than just the local Florida community. With local a news crew broadcasting live, bloggers from around country sharing their experience, and websites of all varieties sharing the structure. The Beehive Billboard became an example of how advertising can make more than a statement. It can make an ingredient.
