Description
To celebrate Montblanc’s 110th anniversary brand ambassador Hugh Jackman takes a walk back in time in a theatrical film set to revisit a few of the brand’s pioneering milestones. He meets the maison’s founding fathers, world leaders such as JFK, visionary writers, and cunning spies and inspires today’s forward thinking minds to unleash the pioneers in themselves.
Outcome
How to shot a Hollywood-style film for a luxury brand with Hugh Jackman available for only 5 hours and a budget less than 400,000 Euro?
The set designer created a “One location-production design” as a full circle of sets with every set connecting to the next.
This saved time (no company move at the shooting day!) and money and allowed to tell the story like a fluent journey with as little editing as possible.
Additionally the entire studio had to be prelighted, there was a full day rehearse with a double to make most efficient use of Mr. Jackman’s time. Light changes during setups as well as SFX moments, extras (dancers or harbour people) needed to be rehearsed and planned in a way that you could reset to number 1 in a minute to get a 2nd and 3rd take with Hugh Jackman without waiting.
