Background

DNs investigative journalists don't hesitate to go against big brands or mention uncomfortable truths.

Shedding light on the less positive aspects of big consumer brands is not commonplace in the commercial space in Norway at least. DN makes independent and investigative journalism accessible on most platforms, but takes time to shine the light on how som aspects of the big consumer brands are not just good.

Execution

The spot starts off like a classic ad for the DN-newspapers app, urging people to download on their Huawei device. It then goes on to elaborate on how one of Huawei's managers har been arrested suspected for fraus and how Huawei's equipment is being excluded by many countries when they build their next generation mobile infrastructure because of fear of espionage. In Norway however they are still in the running to deliver key elements of our new 5g network. So anyone involved with that company having a Huawei-device may download our app from the Google Play store.
