We wanted to build the film upon a powerful, expressive song filled with positive energy. Sinnerman from Nina Simone was an obvious choice. A powerful track from a committed artist, able to touch everyone. During the shoot, the song was played to galvanize the whole cast and capture the right emotion and bodily expressions. Once synchronized, the music gives the film its pace and progression, supporting the narrative along with the images.
