Description
Working with the voiceover as our guide, we lead the viewer through an engaging and immersive experience that recognizes the mindsets of those who believe in this future - the trailblazers - and those who naysay it. Rather than use real life imagery we chose animation to open up the viewer’s imagination, with graphic line drawing setting up this concept of a blueprint for our future, while a 3D graphite representation of LA setting the scene of where this movement will begin.
Execution
‘The Turning Point’ is a dynamic web experience that inspires and educates people
about hydrogen fuel. We introduced the Mirai by breaking it apart and educating
users on how FCV technology works, from tank to tailpipe. We then put the
complexities of hydrogen fuel into simple terms, explaining where it comes from and
its potential as a fuel source. Finally, we created an interactive station development
map where visitors can ‘Leave Their Mark’ to influence infrastructure support.
Outcome
We saw a 283% increase in visits at the site relaunch, with a total of 1.2 million visitors to date. And despite only a limited number of Mirais available for first release in 2015/2016, 19,400 hand-raisers have signed up and 10,400 people have 'left their mark'.
