Description
The project started by recognising a common feature that all ageing parents has - white hair. A white hair is not only a sign of old age, but it also reminds us of the time we have left with our parents, and make the most out of it.
Execution
We set out to collect a strand of white hair from 2,061 parents in 34 cities. With every strand, comes a message that each parent wishes to convey to their children. Every strand of hair together with its respective message are then put into a bottle. The bottles eventually form a 2.5 meter tall art installation. The art installation showcases a 3D rendition of the word ‘HOME’ in Chinese. It is then placed in an exhibition in Beijing a month before the Spring Festival as a reminder to visit home.
Outcome
1. There are over 84 million views in Weibo . Created over 3 million social interactions?
2. Had more than 4 million views in WeChat;
3. We managed to get over 240 local News report;
4. Created more than 1.17 million results in less than 2 weeks at Baidu.com;
5. Youngsters all over the country joined the campaign and share their decision to return home on our official site, with pictures of their transport ticket
