Still a niche area in motoring, 100% electric driving needs to be presented to people in a way that surprises them in their routine and gives them the opportunity to experience it in ways that traditional media can’t offer them.

Giving the young trendsetters of Shoreditch the chance to get inside a Nissan LEAF, share the experience on Social and benefit from it in a practical way was a highly effective way of kick-starting a conversation among our target audience.

Outcome

During the two days of activity Nissan LEAF experienced a 250 times increase in activity on Twitter. 500 miles were covered by over 200 Nissan LEAF converts, and over 65 litres of fuel weren't used. The full fleet of 10 Nissan LEAF taxis remained fully occupied throughout the weekend, with demand for rides exceeding capacity. Sentiment around the activity on Twitter was very positive, with passengers amazed by the cost saving and their experience of the LEAF.
