In basic, DEAD OR ALIVE was designed as a performance series, in which dead poets compete against young literary artists (for example, Goethe versus Renato Kaiser). The audience becomes part of the show, when the winners of each competition are elected by the level of applause. DEAD OR ALIVE was implemented as part of the internationally successful "Poetry Slam“ series.
Outcome
DEAD OR ALIVE attracted nation-wide media coverage, ranging from the culture & arts sections of newspapers to prime-time tv coverage. It is now Europe’s most successful Poetry Slam and has already been exported to theatres throughout the country, with even more locations to follow.
