"This Exquisite Forest” is an online art project that lets anyone on the web create collaborative animations that branch in different directions, forming narrative structures resembling trees. It can be accessed via a website and through a physical installation at London’s Tate Modern.

The project explores what happens when the Surrealist concept of “exquisite corpse” is reinvented as a new form of collaborative drawing for a global online community. Well-known artists taking part include Miroslaw Balka, Olafur Eliasson, Dryden Goodwin, Raqib Shaw, Julian Opie, Mark Titchner, and Bill Woodrow."
