While most countries got Mobile Number Portability in the late 90s and early 00s, India only got the feature 5 years ago, in 2011. And that's why, for most people, it's not yet sunk in that changing their network provider doesn't mean a change in their phone number.

So while Aircel has stepped up their offers and services, we also ran this campaign to remind people that they could always come on board without worrying about their number.
