Description

In the film, two families of opposing political leanings, politely gather for a sit-down holiday dinner. The dinner conversation quickly devolves into a heated political argument which remains unresolved until a peace is brokered by the young daughter who subtly reminds us of the importance of coming together.

Execution

Partnered with Lisa Rubisch at Park Pictures to produce this film.

Creative development spanned over the course of two weeks, while the actual film production timeline was 4 weeks from shoot to launch.

The original media plan was for online distribution only, but due to the positive reception of the film, it was also released in US cinema.

Outcome

HP activated across all mediums, touching on earned, owned, social, influencer and paid.

Lauded as a beautiful ad, the spot was placed in such trade outlets as Adweek, Advertising Age and Brandchannel, garnering over 20M impressions on social media, paid and earned, as well as The View and domestic cinema release. The spot led to interview opportunities for HP marketing executives and attention toward the role the #FreetheBid archive played in placing Rubisch's talent toward this project.
