We decided to get hold of and make it our own, the subject of vacations/travel in magazines and supplements, as this is the medium used by people to get their information before making a decision of this type, according to client’s own surveys.The way we did this was simple and efficient: we included in the articles of the main publishing houses, a small ad featuring the small hand icon typical when surfing the net, reminding readers they were just a click away from the destination they had read about, by accessing LAN.com.While the industry was promoting all those destinations and encouraging people to travel during vacations, we capitalized on all this communication effort, reminding them that they were just a click away from their destination through LAN.com.
Outcome
This action, that is within the framework of a general activity in massive media, allowed increased sales through LAN.com by an average of 162% during the last three months of 2007 vs. same period in 2006, and also, an 82% average increase in page views during said period.
