After our key influencers touched down in Sin City, we followed their twitter feeds looking for CES related hash tags. Then we tweeted at them asking if they wanted to drive the most innovative car in BMW’s lineup — the BMW i8.
Once they responded to our tweet we showed up at their location within minutes.
Outcome
In the end, we handed over the keys to 56 influencers; including Foursquare founder Dennis Crowley and Formula Drift Champion Chris Forsberg. They not only drove the most innovative car on the planet; but helped drive our twitter reach to over 32 million people. All of this with zero paid media.
