A multi-episode original series, we filmed stories about talented hip hop MCs, renegade producers, bluegrass youth, an aspiring metal god, even an alternative mother and son duo. We shot on-location, in-studio, and on-stage to bring the stories to life. From South Central to the Appalachians, and SXSW to The Troubadour, we showcased performances, interviewed influencers, and brought authentic stories to the forefront of mainstream awareness. The program launched on Uproxx.com through in-depth editorial articles with detailed artist interviews, video embeds of the episode, and brand media adjacencies. Amplified across Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and Instagram, with platform-specific cuts to ensure we were in front of the right audience with the right message, episodes touched on social tensions that inspired massive engagement and consumption.

Generating over 40MM views and passionate social commentary, our talent went from uncharted to headliner. Formerly an unknown rapper, AFRO’s episode was organically shared by Questlove and other members of the hip hop elite. Now, he’s recording an album with DJ Premiere and starring on the VH1 show The Breaks. Metal guitarist, Jared James Nichols, opened for Lynyrd Skynyrd. And aspiring EDM DJ, NGHTMRE, was just announced as a headliner at Winterland. The series reached 8-10 times video engagement benchmarks, secured more than 1 million social engagements and more than half a million shares.
