We gave UNE’s 4G MIFI to street vendors in Bogotá. As they moved around offering their products, they also provided free WIFI networks. They became a new way to give people Internet access quickly, freely and wherever they happened to be.
Outcome
In one week, 50% of the people that interacted with the vendors or were just nearby had a real experience with an UNE 4G MIFI device.
The brand achieved greater exposure thanks to the posters carried by the street venders and even the real MIFI 4G device was on display at all times. Additionally, streets with heavy foot traffic were chosen to reach as many people as possible without needing to increase the media spend. The month the campaign aired saw a sales increase of 3%.
