Description
The USA is currently living dark times, in which hate is embraced and encouraged, from the top of the highest circles.
To fight the good fight for tolerance, we invited veterans to join in. These are men and women that have risked their lives for a country they believe in, and so, are the only group with the moral authority to spread a message of inclusion to other US citizens.
Execution
Dozens of personalized videos were launched at the same time on the Tweeter platform.
The messages started to spread. PR helped to catch the attention of media. During the first week, the movement was covered by all major newspapers and TV channels. Also, many celebrities joined in, validating the positive impact on society.
Up to date, VetsFightHate is still growing, not only in the USA, but also beyond the borders.
Thousands of tweets are being sent everyday by common people, impacting the American conscience in a positive way.
Outcome
After one week of being launched, VetsFightHate had earned more than 100 million PR impressions, with an estimated ad value of 2 million dollars.
Most major media covered the campaign, even beyond US borders, and many celebrities and activists joined in. Thousands of tweets of support are being sent everyday.
The campaign was able to impact society in a positive way, balancing the scales in a USA where hate towards immigrants is being encouraged by the current administration.
