The film’s message is simple: creativity is what makes us human and should be championed in all forms, for everyone.

The director brought this vision to life through a rich tapestry of creative expression – combining original choreography, dance performance and music with the V&A’s celebrated collections. Highlighted pieces include the Ardabil Carpet, Michelangelo’s David and William Morris’ Wallpaper, as well as contemporary works by Virgil Abloh, Christian Louboutin, Grayson Perry and Dilara Findikoglu.

The director engaged hero dancer Max Cookward (BBC Young Dancer 2019, Contemporary Finalist) and Scottish-born interdisciplinary artist Magnus Westwell to choreograph movement, and collaborated with local musician FredWave to score a completely original soundtrack. The film’s cinematography – lead by Oscar-nominated DOP Seamus McGarvey – was designed meticulously to match the intimate and distinctly human energy on screen.
