OVERVIEW

Background

Welti-Furrer is a leading company for fine art transports with a long history. Since 1838, their specialists have been transporting many masterpieces. The aim of the campaign is to promote the brand to museums, galleries, curators, artists and art collectors.

Idea

Iconic rooms from different art epochs are shown as they would look after a move or before a move-in: completely empty. For example, Vincent van Gogh's legendary bedroom in Arles, painted between 1888 and 1889.

Execution

The difficulty was to clear out the iconic rooms in a way that preserved the artistic style of the great masters and their era. This was achieved using the stylistic elements of Impressionism, American Realism and Pop Art.

Outcome

The campaign ran on posters around «Art Basel» in Switzerland, the world’s largest art fair. It returned in September 2021 after a two-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The result, according to Thomas Aebischer, Managing Director at Welti-Furrer: «The artful campaign caught the attention of museum directors, gallerists, curators, artists and art collectors from around the world and led to valuable new contacts.»
