Description
We discovered that 80% of Spaniards and 85% of Valencians didn’t know about our new Home Delivery Service.
We launched the WHOPPERSTATION in Valencia. We turned some bus stops into much more than bus stops: “Whopper Stops” where you could order our famous hamburger, or anything else on the menu, and it would reach you in less than 15 minutes: no waiting, no delays, no problems and no queues. You could order your Whopper at the WHOPPERSTATION just as if you were at a Burger King Restaurant.
We turned a bus shelter into an interactive digital display where anyone could make their order online, from a touchscreen.
Execution
A team specialized in interactive and tactile technology spread out over all of Valencia to correctly implement and supervise the action, 24 hours a day, for the duration of the festival.
The action was implemented in several bus stops all over the city of Valencia. These bus stops were strategically chosen to be able to provide service to everyone attending the festival, and to make sure our famous hamburgers could reach any point of the paralyzed city in less than 15 minutes.
The action was also extended to the bus stops of the nearby city of Alicante.
Outcome
The WHOPPERSTATION became news, and was discussed in the most important Spanish newspapers, both print and digital.
It was also immediately seen on social network feeds, generating thousands of comments and receiving millions of visits, just as fast as the Whoppers reached our hungry and grateful travellers.
