Description

The Father Bob Maguire Foundation's mission is simple: to provide material, emotional and social support to whomever, whenever and wherever necessary.

However, with no infrastructure, no brand recognition and very little on-going source of funds, we needed to create some short-term promotional activity that would draw attention to their cause, as well as increase their donor numbers.

The result was the 'Win Happiness Guaranteed' campaign. It not only achieved those stated goals, it showed all of Australia what it takes to bring real happiness to their lives.

Outcome

Success of the campaign was measured in three ways: 1. New donors engaged; 2. Media and awareness generated; and 3. Proof what really makes you happy.

1. On any given month, the Father Bob Maguire Foundation might expect to receive just 10 donations. For the two months this promotion ran, it received over 250 - an increase of 1,250%.

2. Over the two months, the 'Win Happiness Guaranteed' website attracted almost 10,000 views with an average engagement of 1min10secs each. The real success, however, was the amount of earned media and PR that the campaign received. Extensive coverage on Australian television, radio and press was valued at over $330,000.

3. As promised, Amy - the first prize winner - won the chance to volunteer at a soup kitchen for a week. And her happiness, according to the Oxford Happiness Questionaire she completed before and after volunteering, increased by 20 points.
