Description
To leverage adidas’ sponsorship of the Auckland Marathon, we identified two things every runner needs: great running gear and motivation. So we ran a promotion whereby every item sold came with free motivation. We delivered this through www.adirun.co.nz – an online motivational toolbox offering a personalised 12-week training programme complete with motivational emails and text messages. It was a big success. Sales went up (by up to 39%), brand loyalty increased and every runner in the marathon was motivated by their own ‘reason to run’.email: andreav@canneslions.compassword: cannes
Execution
By purchasing a pair of adidas running shoes runners could gained entry to www.adirun.co.nz This was an interactive online motivational toolbox that delivered a personalised 12-week training programme along with motivational emails and text messages.
Outcome
Sales went up (by up to 39%), brand loyalty increased and every runner in the marathon was motivated by their own ‘reason to run’. Now adirun has been picked up around the world, so even more runners will have the tools to discover that ‘impossible is nothing’
