Description
In the U.S. a couple about to be married will hire an organist to play at their wedding. At the beginning of the ceremony, the organist will play, “Here Comes the Bride” to announce the bride’s arrival and accompany her walk down the aisle. The first four notes “dah duh dah-duh” are enough to make tears start to flow.
There is another event where an organist often plays: a professional baseball game. The organist will play throughout the game to get the crowd excited. And one of the most popular crowd-pleasers is “Charge!” It is a steadily building crescendo that leads up to the crowd yelling, “CHARGE!” in unison. Accidentally hiring a baseball organist to play at your wedding would not get your marriage off to a good start.
