In August 2022, Netflix launched Schooltales: the series. Each episode featured a ghost story inspired by popular Thai high school urban legends.

The horror genre has a long history in Thailand, but the iconic hand drawn movie posters of yesteryear are a vanishing trade. So we created a series of movie posters that paid homage to it.

Inspired by old-school Thai horror movie posters and the drawing style of the original Schooltales comic, we crafted every detail to death from sketch to final artwork.

We chose the best elements from each episode and worked it into our 9 posters. Each of them has its own unique easter eggs. Each time you look, a new detail would mysteriously reveal itself. And with a mix of shading, lighting and brushwork, we brought the posters to life and took you back to your haunted school tales.

Netflix placed the posters all throughout the city at well-known haunted buildings, giving the posters an even eerier feel.
