In 1790 Joseph the II, Holy Roman Emperor and King of Hungary takes the first sip of the herbal digestive created by Dr. Zwack. The Emperor approves the spirit, which was named Unicum, tributing his words of appreciation.

In the 1848 War of Liberty a group of soldiers called the Hunyadi Hussars have defeated the Austrian troops. Their only weapons were lashes and their brave souls.

In 1894 a young student Alfréd Hajós won a swimming contest crossing the Danube at Budapest. Later 1896 he won 2 gold medals at the first modern Olymics in Athens, winning both swimming disciplines against all odds, being the shortest of all sportsmen.
