Good Morning's clients are within the advertising industry. Each summer the advertising elite gather at the prestigious 'Cannes Lions'. The festival is the perfect place for us to build new client relationships and strengthen existing ones.

For the 2013 Festival, we produced a mobile application that people attending the festival could use to order a free breakfast, delivered to his or her location at a desired time, anywhere in Cannes. The breakfast was delivered personally by our CEO, and the package contained orange juice, croissant, fruit and hangover pills to give the person a perfect start of the new day.

Implementation

We wanted to give something back to our existing customers in a fun and innovative way, as well as build relationships with new clients. The solution was simple - we created a mobile app where attendees could order a free breakfast, delivered to his or her location at a desired time, anywhere in Cannes. The breakfast package was delivered personally by our own CEO, contained a freshly made baguette, croissants, fruit, orange juice and water. We also added hangover pills and an energy drink to get people started up again after a supposedly hard night out.

Outcome

During the week of the Festivals we delivered over 350 breakfasts packages, and our CEO had personal meetings with over 150 international potential clients from some of the largest agencies in the world. In short, the best creative people in the world noticed our small digital production agency from Scandinavia, and what we do - namely high-end visual and digital productions. Moreover, the project strengthened existing client relationships. Onwards, these contacts have resulted in concrete projects from large international agencies. The project was awarded Most Innovative Marketing Idea at ‘Cannes Lions Festival of Representatives’ later the same year.

Relevancy

As a digital production agency with the market's most discerning creators as our clientele, it was important for us that the creative solution would be innovative and of very high quality, graphically and functionally. Cannes participants were the perfect audience for this type of application - while at the same time we could showcase our expertise on small mobile screens. It was very important to show that we pay attention to details. We work a lot on the interplay between typography and illustration. The design for the app was inspired by Mad Men, a TV-series the industry knows well.
