Good Morning's clients are within the advertising industry. Each summer the advertising elite gather at the prestigious 'Cannes Lions'. The festival is the perfect place for us to build new client relationships and strengthen existing ones.

For the 2013 Festival, we produced a mobile application that people attending the festival could use to order a free breakfast, delivered to his or her location at a desired time, anywhere in Cannes. The breakfast was delivered personally by our CEO, and the package contained orange juice, croissant, fruit and hangover pills to give the person a perfect start of the new day.

Execution

As a digital production agency with the market's most discerning creators as our clientele, Cannes Lions is the perfect place for us to meet new clients. The week long festival gathers the most creative people in the world, therefore it was very important for us to make something very innovative and creative that would draw their attention to our company, and show them that we not only master high end technology and design, but also can come up with creative ideas. The design for the app was inspired by Mad Men, a TV-series the industry knows well.

Implementation

As our main clientele are advertising agencies, Cannes Lions is the perfect place for us as a small Scandinavian digital production agency to meet new potential clients from all over the world. While the large international ad agencies threw overly expensive parties with free drinks at rented beaches in the evenings, we decided to bring them to our own turf - the morning. By making something different and untraditional at the Cannes Lions, our hope was to get noticed by the most creative people in the world working at the biggest ad-agencies in the world.

Outcome

We delivered over 350 breakfasts packages, and our CEO had personal meetings with over 150 international potential clients from some of the largest agencies in the world. The best creative people in the world gave notice to our small digital production agency from Scandinavia. Afterwards, these contacts have resulted in concrete projects from some of the largest international agencies in the world. Moreover, the project strengthened our relationship with existing clients, which resulted in a large increase of work and projects. Our stunt was also awarded Most Innovative Marketing Idea at ‘Cannes Lions Festival of Representatives’ later the same year.
