OVERVIEW

CampaignDescription

To prove that humans are far superior than robots, we had to put them in a battle never heard of. But in a comfortable terrain for humans beings to excel, so we had to put their skills to the test, and then expose the loser disabilities. Customer service is a field where, despite of the superiority of the human beings, the use of robots is growing drastically. We decided to make an experiment, we sent email to the 100 Biggest Brazilian Companies and waited for their response.

If the response were positive for us (good responses for humans and bad from the robots) we would be spread it in traditional advertisement such as radio, magazines, out of home and others. Also create a digital hub to expose those mails and drive users to Data Bite website.

Execution

As we wanted to test companies' Customer Service, we sent, manually, over than 100 mails, to the Brazilian biggest companies. Such surreal emails that there's no way a human respond it automatically. We defied the robots, and we won. Those responses, proved that when dealing with human beings, humans beings are way more suited than robots. Robots responded 100% automatically, and as we sent very specific emails, which they were not programmed to answer, the responses had nothing to do with the question. In the other hand, humans kindly responded the question according to its content. Now that we have a live prove of human superiority, we had to spread the word, so those answers became radio spots, print advertising and a website was developed to display it.

Outcome

20% of the mail remained unanswered so far.

61% of the mail were answered by robots automatically, and the responses had nothing to do with question.

Only 14% of the responses were given by human beings, and all of them were far superior than the robots, proving so, that for many job positions, human beings were better suited than robots.

Budget of US$15K

Data Byte site traffic increased by 180%

27% more courses subscriptions than last year

Relevancy

Data Byte do not disagree, that the robots, are far superior in many technical work positions, but they do not have any doubts that when dealing with human beings, humans beings are best suited for the specific job. So to make that clear, for companies and for employer, we started a closer dialogue with both sides of interest, for that, nothing best than a Direct campaign.

Strategy

We have several proves that robots work better than humans on several technical positions, but Data Byte wanted to prove that for many others job positions, specially those that require improvisation, generation of ideas, and empathy, humans are still far superior. So, we made an experiment, we sent emails to companies, and waited for the response. If the response were positive (having emails answered better by humans than by robots) we would move on, to expand our campaign by making radio spots, print advertisement and out of home, to display the human superiority over the robots.

Synopsis

More and more many companies are replacing people by robots. When we talking of operational work, mechanical and high precision ones, robots indeed have a higher performance. However, no matter how developed is the artificial intelligence, when the job requires original ideas, negotiation and mainly, dealing with people, nothing overcomes us, humans.

Data Byte, Brazilian leader in Professional Training, asked for a campaign to be positioned as the company that trust more in people’s potential.
