The book is intended to incite its readers into further thinking, to inspire them to explore new potentials in themselves and in others. It is a sketchbook of ideas with plentiful free space for the reader’s own thoughts, texts and inspiring concepts.

In association with the celebration “4 decades of dm”, it is intended to produce a book which encourages its reader to enrich his own life and that of others through what he thinks, says and does. A book as a thank-you for commitment, loyalty, constructive criticism and encouragement.
Implementation
Books are really nothing more than extremely long letters to friends, according to the poet Jean Paul. In this spirit, we have created the book ZEIT WERT GEBEN – EIN INSPIRATIONSBUCH MIT 40 GUTEN GEDANKEN , complemented by powerful instigatory texts, inspiring thoughts and open-mindedness, it incites its reader to further thinking and action. The thanks are expressed with philosophical concepts and with inspiring ideas from artists such as Ólafur Elíasson and Jorinde Voigt.
Outcome
Since the book was published in November 2013, more than 10,100 pieces have been sold.
It is presented as "Bestseller no. 1" in the category "gift books" at the online bookstore "amazon.de" and received best reviews. Another 34,000 employees and 95,000 customers were excited about their gift by "dm-drogerie markt".
