‘Acuvue Wink‘ was the first branded Facebook application from Australia, allowing people to send photo-realistic winks to their Facebook friends. At the time Facebook was still new in this market. The subtle branding meant that users were comfortable winking and making it a formidable viral execution.We developed more than 20 winks, allowing users to send flirty, shocked and mischievous winks – plus Christmas and Valentine’s winks.
At the height of the campaign 10,000 Facebook users were ‘Winking’ daily, allowing us to achieve incredible results; more than 75,000 downloaded the application, sending 1,241,200 winks to 516,000 people.
