OVERVIEW

Background

On July 1st 2018, the authorized speed on all French two-way roads without a dividing line decreased from 90 to 80 km/h. This 10 km/h speed reduction lowers a vehicle's average stopping distance by 13 meters.

Execution

The film tells the story of Théo, a young man whose life trajectory is intimately tied to this very metric: these 13 meters. He scored his first goal from 13 meters, the whale he went diving with was 13 meters long … But when a truck barrels out in front of him and these same 13 meters end up saving his life, this no longer another coincidence.
